提起文艺复兴你会想到什么？

When you think of the Renaissance, what comes to your mind?

想到它的起源地意大利？想到达芬奇、米开朗琪罗、拉斐尔这三杰？文艺复兴出现于14-16世纪时期，并在意大利语中被写作“Rinascimento”也就是重生的意思。

Think of Italy where it originated? And the three heroes Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael? The Renaissance appeared in the 14th-16th centuries, and renaissance is written "Rinascimento" in Italian, which means rebirth.

为什么是重生呢？因为在长达千年的中世纪里，服务于宗教的欧洲艺术已经变得“死气沉沉”，这促使艺术家必须将古希腊和古罗马那自由、恢宏的艺术风格找回来。在几代人的努力下，艺术终于焕发出新的光彩。

Why used the word "rebirth"? Because in the millennia-long Middle Ages, European art serving religion has become lifeless, which prompts artists to bring back the free and grand artistic style of ancient Greece and Rome. With the efforts of several generations, art finally shines with new brilliance.

对于现代的我们，当初的艺术与人文主义精神直到今天，我们仍能有极大的共鸣，因为那以人为中心，肯定人的价值与精神。

For us in modern times, the art and humanistic spirit at that time can still resonate with us today, because it is human-centered and affirms the value and spirit of human beings.

8月20日，中外人文square将用中英双语来分享文艺复兴的故事（现场中外友人），并联手意大利品牌Bucciano，为你带来正宗意式生活分享，现场有意大利红酒品鉴，每一道红酒也都配着一道意大利美食。

On August 20, HumanCulturalSquare will share the story of the Renaissance in both Chinese and English (Chinese and foreign friends at the scene), and together with Italian brand Bucciano to bring you authentic Italian wine and food.  Stories and wine tasting as well as the friendly meet up.
