This online workshop is designed for teachers who are preparing students for Trinity GESE Grades 1 - 3.
This online interactive workshop is designed for all teachers – with or without Trinity examination experience – The workshop is for teachers who are preparing students for Trinity GESE, Grades 1 - 3 (Pre-A1 – A2 of the CEFR), both online and face-to-face.
Aims of the workshop:
Become familiar with the language requirements in GESE Grades 1- 3 exams
Compare and contrast between online and face to face GESE Exams
Classroom activities to improve students' listening and speaking abilities
Lesson planning
Tips and strategies for placing students in the appropriate exam grade
Assessment criteria
The workshop is followed by a Q&A session.
Participants will receive a zoom link one day before the event.

An attendance certificate will be issued on the condition that participants are actively engaging in all aspects of the workshop, which includes participating in discussions, engaging with peers, has their camera on and makes meaningful contributions to the workshop. Participants cannot share a device.

Trainer: Kevin Clare
Kevin began his teaching career right after getting his CELTA in Perth, Australia in 2009. From there, he moved to Daqing, a small city in Heilongjiang Province in China, which is well below freezing for half the year before moving to Guangzhou where he worked in a range of TESOL settings as a Director of Studies and as an EAL teacher and classroom teacher in two international schools. Kevin has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Politics as well as a CELTA and a PGCE. His interests and expertise lie in working with young learners. Currently, Kevin is working at English for Asia as a course tutor for the TESOL Certificate and the Course Director for the Teaching Young Learners Extension Certificate (TYLEC).
