On Thursday, June 10th from 7 PM, join Kente & Silk and friends by the Fireside for a vibrant night of words, music, and socializing. After our sold-out March edition, we return to set the stage alight with Beijing's finest poets and creators from the community. Join us for a beautiful night of Afrocentric poetry, spoken word, storytelling, dance, and song to celebrate Africa in China for Beijing Africa Week.

By the Fireside brings you treasured African traditions of fireside-style storytelling, poetry, spoken word, and more.  Kente & Silk and a whole host of creative talent will celebrate through the arts.
