WHAT IS THIS EVENT? 什么是线上开放夜

OPEN NIGHT 2022 is our positive answer to the post-pandemic world. Each time 3 guests share their minds on a maker topic. We try our best to bring the open night event experience online so everyone from anywhere can be re-connected to our community.

新车间线上开放夜是我们对后疫情时代的一个回应。我们每期邀请三位嘉宾，围绕一个大家关注的话题，在线上分享他们的看法与经历。我们希望再现传统开放夜的体验和氛围，让大家在任何地方都能重新与社区连接。

The first "Freelancer" refers to those free banners who sell their sword to the lords to fight for honor. Today, freelancer still sell their skill and service from client to client. But besides the carefree lifestyle in appearance, do they have some secret struggle like everyone else? This week 3 XCJer will tell you their story, of being a Freelancer.

"Freelancer"一词源于可被自由雇佣的枪骑兵，用于领主之间或大或小的决斗。如今的自由职业者也同样走跳于职场与项目之间。只是这种灵活的身法是真如段誉凌波微步般的潇洒，还是背后也有自古枪兵幸运E的秘辛。这期我们也同样邀请来几位新车间的老友，跟大家分享他们的肥蓝蛇故事。

To recount her experience, we quote the following words from social media:I started drawing at 2 and explored almost every technique, so illustration yes! But I wanna be rich so bad so I chose Landscape Design as my major so interior design/Landscape/3Dmodeling, EASY! And the cartoon is my favorite since kid so IP design is also my thing. After graduating, I went to a company that makes theme parks so I'm also very seasoned in theme park design and product design! Qu's amazingness is beyond translation. BTW her favorite office is Disneyland.

这边直接截取一段社交网站上的自述：两岁开始画画学了各种画法，所以接插画。但是我一心只想赚钱不想搞艺术所以大学选了环境艺术设计，所以也接室内设计/景观设计。而且会做模型！从小热爱卡通画对IP设计

非常擅长。碰巧毕业了之后立马去了儿童乐园设计公司，所以会做乐园设计和乐园产品设计。我就是碰巧啥都会做！明年准备自己开公司！

纪录片导演/摄影师/公益演讲人——Dajong 大蒋

Dajong started his career in 2015 as a documentary director. The representative work is The Happiness of Tourette Syndrome, which is the first documentary about Tourette Syndrome in Mainland. The Documentary helps millions of Tourette Syndrome patients to destigmatize and shake off their shade. As a Tourette Syndrome patient, Dajong also dedicated himself to raising public awareness and the welfare of the Tourette Syndrome community.

大蒋于2015年开始进入纪录片行业。他的代表作是大陆地区首部聚焦妥瑞氏症人群的系列励志纪录片《妥妥的幸福》。纪录片问世以来获得了国内媒体与患者群体的广泛关注，帮助内地百万妥瑞氏症群体正视自身症状，走出心理阴霾，在一定程度上提高了民众对于此稀有症患的认知度。大蒋也在闲暇之余致力于众普及妥瑞氏症认知度和患者互助的公益事业。

zero⟶north research——Nelson Zhang

If you Google “Nelson Zhang”, you will find his "off track" journey started way back in time. Won the Peter Thiel Fellowship at 20; tried to bring his 3D print to the US but had it mistaken as explosive at the border; co-founded his own company as CTO; selected as Forbes 30 under 30. Now his zero→north research provides services to some of the most well-known tech companies.

如果你在Google搜寻Nelson，你会认识到他的"离经叛道"的故事要从很久很久以前说起了。时年20的他赢得了Peter Thiel(对，就是那个劝人辍学的王者)基金的资助并辍学，在带着自己发明的3D打印机入境美国时被误认为持有爆炸物，而后成立了自己的科技公司并出任CTO，到被选为福布斯under30. 现在Nelson经营一家技术咨询公司，并为许多科技大厂及产品公司提供研发顾问服务。
