Nicole Lin, a Cantonese lady, has shown great interest in food since she was a kid. Having worked in New Zealand after her graduation from the University of Auckland for a few years, she returned to China to join the Chocday start-up team - and together they created the first healthy chocolate brand in China, focusing on innovative healthy casual snack research and development. Nicole led the team to rapidly penetrate all channels online and offline, covering 100,000+ offline terminal shops nationwide in just two years, helping the brand win the titles of No. 1 sales growth in the chocolate category and No. 1 in the dark chocolate category in Tmall. She is also responsible for the overseas market development of Chocday.

The entrepreneurial journey is full of uncertainty and variability, and the decisions made by entrepreneurs along the way are particularly critical. Being a mother and an entrepreneur, Nicole is always alert to emotion-led behaviour to avoid anxiety influencing her decision-making. This time, she will share how to seize the rallying point and opportunity points in the early stages of entrepreneurship to crack growth anxiety and find greater certainty in an uncertain environment.

袁宏伟博士曾担任摩根大通实物资产（亚洲）执行董事、松禾资本合伙人、松禾天使基金执行事务合伙人等职务，具有超过 20 年的投资与并购领域从业经验，涉足信托、证券、投行等业务。她在任职摩根大通亚洲区执行董事期间，除了负责中国区投资业务外，还参与管理新加坡、印度、韩国等亚洲重要地区，业务涵盖环保、能源、交通、医疗、养老行业等。袁宏伟博士先后主导完成了大疆创新、小马智行、深蓝航天、第四范式等多个项目投资和退出。

作为聚焦硬科技的早期投资人，需要持续学习了解最前沿的科学技术发展方向，敏锐察觉新的投资机会，同时需要规避早期投资的不确定性。本次论坛，袁宏伟博士将会就“如何在科技和风险这两个看起来更考验女性从业者的领域生存和发展、脱颖而出”给大家分享她的切身体会和经验。

Dr. Amy Yuan was an Managing Director of Real Assets at J.P. Morgan Asia, a Partner of Green Pine Capital Partners (GPCP) and a Managing Partner of Shenzhen Songhe Angel Venture Capital Partnership (L.P.) with over 20 years of investment and M&A experience in trust, securities and investment banking. During her tenure as Managing Director of Real Assets at J.P. Morgan Asia, in addition to her responsibility for the investment business in China, she was also involved in managing key Asian regions such as Singapore, India and Korea. Dr. Yuan's business covered environmental protection, energy, transportation, medical, retirement industries and so forth. Dr. Yuan Hongwei has led the completion of several investments and exits in projects such as SZ DJI Technology, Pony.ai, Deep Blue Aerospace, 4Paradigm, etc.

As an early investor with a focus on hard technology, people need to continue to understand more about the most cutting-edge scientific and technological developments and be keenly aware of new investment opportunities, while avoiding the uncertainties of early-stage investments. On this occasion, Dr. Yuan will share her personal experiences and thoughts on "how to survive, thrive and excel in two fields, science and technology as well as venture capital investment, where women face greater challenges than any other".

Gráinne 与她来自美国德州的丈夫还有爱犬 Paddington 在佛山已经生活了 6 年。在伦敦剧院工作了一小段时间后，Gráinne 进入了教育行业并在教育行业深耕 40 年。秉着对“如何科学用脑学习”这个课题的浓厚兴趣，同时拥有着横跨 3 大洲的 13 所学校的创校经历，Gráinne 打心底里热爱教育行业，并把教育行业视为她的终身事业。作为 4 个成年孩子的母亲同时也是 15 岁孙子的外婆，Gráinne 实在不知道时间都去哪了，一眨眼间她就变得这么老了。她现在正努力不让自己变成一个脾气暴躁的老太太！

Gráinne has been in Foshan for six years and lives here with her Texan husband and her fully bi-lingual woofer, Paddington. After a brief stint in the London theatre, Gráinne entered the world of education and has 40 years of experience under her belt. With a particular interest in Brain-Friendly Learning and a professional portfolio of 13 start-ups across 3 continents, Gráinne truly loves education and considers it to be her life’s work. A mother of 4 grown children and a grandmother of a 15-year-old grandson, Gráinne is not quite sure how she ended up being this old. At the moment she is doing her very best not to become a grumpy old lady!

Gráinne's talk covers the importance of understanding the challenges involved in a start-up and being prepared for the in-depth practical knowledge that is needed to ensure ongoing success. All start-ups are built upon areas that we know, areas that we know we do not know (but can find out), and areas that we don’t know we don’t know (unknown unknowns)- how does one navigate, prepare for and overcome these? In addition, Gráinne will be talking about the importance of personal and practical involvement in every aspect of the business in the start-up stages to ensure sustainability.

Angie Zhang, a 37-year-old working woman with a good balance between career and family, is a mother of two children while being the CEO of a startup company. It only took five years for her to go from being someone else's employee to building her own brand and being the professional leader of a large team. Angie Zhang is also the author of some best-selling books "Power of Learning", "Making Money from Side Hustles", "Side Hustle Thinking", "Moving Forward" and "Highly Effective Realization”, the founder of Value Realization Course. She has been working in the education industry for more than 5 years with over one million students online and has led tens of thousands of people to start their own side hustle from which they earn a significant income. She has encouraged and helped countless girls to live an exciting and shining life just like she is.

A 'fourth culture child' who was born in Singapore and grew up in several countries before moving to Guangzhou in 2002, Lena has worked in international education, hospitality, and marketing communications for the last 20 years. She is also the Founding Editor-in-Chief of Urban Family Magazine, China's only national community and family English language publication.

Lena grew up with strong, passionate women who greatly influenced her thoughts about gender equality, making her believe that women are truly capable of catalyzing change, and that children represent a tremendous engine for transformational change towards gender equality.

Lena has a son almost aged 12 and a daughter aged 10, who both attend CIS.

Dr Penny Chen has been working in the UK higher education section for over 10 years. Following the completion of a PhD degree in Business and Management from the University of Manchester in 2014, Penny has joined the University of Central Lancashire as a Lecturer. Penny is currently working at UCLan as an Associate Professor in Innovation and Enterprise.

Penny is also the General Manager of UCLan Technology (Shenzhen) Ltd. which is wholly owned by the University of Central Lancashire. Penny is overseeing the university incubator and acceleration in China, which has over 500 start-ups. Penny created UCLan Online with over 500,000 followers. She is also a Social Action Award Winner of 2021-2022 UK Alumni Awards and a 2021 Wechat Channel High Quality Content Creator.

The British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong, founded in 1996, is an independent, non-profit organisation formed to facilitate and support Chinese and British companies operating in the PRD, now the GBA. Our mission is to become the most business-savvy chamber in China by providing a platform that supports our members to connect via events, promote through our marketing channels and share insights through industry focus groups.

每年的杰出商业女性论坛是广东英国商会的旗舰活动之一。这个活动已连续 9 年成功在广州、深圳两地举办，邀请了超过 50 位嘉宾分享，每年的参与人数将近 300 人。广东英国商会希望通过该论坛为女性同胞打造一个交流思想、相互鼓舞的平台，启迪各位女性同胞找到属于自己的本真和位置。

Women in Business Forum (WIB) is one of the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong's (BritCham Guangdong) flagship events. The event has been held for 9 consecutive years in Guangzhou and Shenzhen and has seen over 50 speakers share their insights and has welcomed nearly 300 guests each year. Through this forum, the BritCham Guangdong hopes to establish a platform for women to exchange and inspire each other, encouraging each and every women "to be herself" and find her place in life.
