●In 2013, as part of Huawei's global "Seeds for the Future" initiative, it launched the Digital Seeds project for German, Swiss, and Austrian university students, focusing on entrepreneurship, digitalization, innovation and sustainable development.

Last year's Digital Seeds' ideathon attracted talent from more than 20 of Germany, Switzerland and Austria's top universities (such as the University of Munich, RWTH Aachen, University of Berlin, KIT Carew University of Technology, etc.), covering a wide range of disciplines - STEM, engineering and humanities, which featured the best teams winning at the level of design thinking solutions, commercial design and branding.

These winners will be coming to Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Beijing in September for a two-week tour of China.

● 2013年，作为华为全球“未来种子”倡议的一部分，推出面向德国、瑞士、和奥地利大学生的数字种子项目，重点是创业精神、数字化、创新和可持续发展。

去年数字种子创意马拉松吸引来自20多所德国、瑞士和奥地利等顶尖大学（如慕尼黑大学、RWTH亚琛工业大学、柏林大学、KIT卡鲁工业大学等）的人才参加比赛，涵盖了广泛学科——STEM、工程和人文。

这里面在设计思维方案、商业设计和品牌推广等层面胜出的最佳团队，将于9月来到深圳、成都、北京，参加为期两周的中国之旅。

● On September 25, Startup Grind Shenzhen joined hands with Digital Seeds to invite local startups run by expats, outstanding venture capital institutions and active incubation platforms in Shenzhen to share with German young entrepreneurs, outlook the latest insights on digitalization, sustainability and entrepreneurship, in an effort to enhance the exchange of international innovation trends, and promote the collaborative ecology between Shenzhen and Berlin.

Carsten Senz

●1974 born and raised in Neunkirchen/Saar. Lives with his wife and two children in Düsseldorf. After studying Sinology and Japanese Studies in Trier, Wuhan and Tokyo with a focus on intellectual history and intercultural communication, Carsten Senz worked as a consultant for numerous economic development and location marketing projects for various provinces and municipalities in China (including Beijing, Guangzhou, Hubei, Anhui). From 2007 to 2010, Carsten Senz headed the Regulatory Affairs department, especially with regard to the European chemicals’ regulation REACH, for the company WISCO (Wuhan Iron & Steel Corp.). He advised Chinese authorities and companies on the implementation of the REACH requirements for the export of products to the EU. Carsten Senz has been working for Huawei Technologies in Germany since November 2010, where he helped to establish the Public Affairs & Communications department. His areas of responsibility included media relations, governmental affairs, corporate social responsibility, corporate strategy and campaigns. Since November 2018, he has been responsible for the entire area of Corporate Communications for Huawei in Germany.

● Vice President of iMakerbase, with 6 years of experience in international hardware accelerator incubation operations, and has participated in in-depth incubation support for nearly 100 international hardware startup projects.

●iMakerbase International Hardware Accelerator was established in 2013. It is one of the first batch of national-level maker spaces in Shenzhen. ● Julian is German and an engineering graduate of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). After working for his family’s laser company in Germany, he founded his own startup companies Blitz Laser Hong Kong in 2017 and Blitz Laser Shenzhen in 2019. With a passion for laser engineering, he has more than 12 years of experience working on complex laser applications like laser soldering and welding, chip bonding, and laser heating. His fascination for high-end electronics and semiconductor manufacturing as well as the fast growth of these industries is what brought him to Shenzhen.

● Julian是德国人，毕业于卡尔斯鲁厄理工学院 (KIT) 工程专业。在德国家族激光公司工作后，他于2017 年创立了自己的初创公司 Blitz Laser Hong Kong，并于 2019 年创立了 Blitz Laser Shenzhen。凭借对激光工程的热情，他在复杂激光应用领域拥有超过 12 年的经验，例如激光焊接、芯片键合以及激光加热。他对高端电子和半导体制造以及这些行业快速发展的迷恋促使他来到深圳。

●Blitz Laser is rethinking the laser as a precise area-heating tool with applications in flip-chip bonding, micro LED display manufacturing, and advanced semiconductor packaging. Our Area Lasers provide precise and uniform heating of any material and shape ranging from 10 micrometers to several meters in size. They enable 2.5D/3D advanced semiconductor packaging, Rapid Thermal Processing of wafers, Solar Panel annealing, micro soldering of mobile phone cameras, battery electrode drying, and many more material processing applications. Contactless heating by laser has the highest process quality and yield, and very short cycle times while saving more than 40% energy compared to traditional heating methods. The company was founded in 2019 in Shenzhen and currently has 21 team members. Our core technologies are adjustable beam-shaping, closed-loop process control, and precision manufacturing. All technology and products are developed in-house by a team of experienced optical and laser engineers. Precision Manufacturing according to German standards is done in our own clean room facilities. Blitz Laser has received seed funding in 2022.
