ENGLISH EXCHANGE CLUB 中英语言交流活动

T3 ENGLISH EXCHANGE HELD IN CAIJUN TALENT COFFEE EVERY WEDNESDAY EVENING.
Yesterday evening we had a lively discussion about this week’s topic, ‘differences between southerners and northerners’. Most participants are from the south part of China, and they believe that the biggest differences between North and
South are reflected in climate, diet and living habits. For example, people from the south mainly eat rice while the
northerners prefer to eat wheaten food such as noodles, dumplings, buns and so on. Another example is that northern
cuisines are generally large while southern cuisines are small and delicate. In terms of climate, winters in the north are dry and cold; while in the south, it is useless to wear more clothes in winter as winters are wet and cold. People don’t have
heaters indoor in the south while northerners have it inside their houses.
Participants actively communicated with each other, so that everybody could fully integrate into the activities, and
create a strong atmosphere of speaking English.
