The fourth edition of our flagship events is focused on the theme of family values and promises to build better community and communication within this complex space. All Africa-China novices and experts are warmly welcome to continue this hot summer with deeper cultural exchange and excitement. The African Kingdom launch party dress code and feel are inspired by both ancient and future African Kingdoms, as well as our Kente title that is connected to Ghana's royal Ashanti tribe. 

Join K&S at Modernista, on June 3rd for a night to dress up and dance down to one of the world's most influential music genres infiltrating the mainstream and taking over the underground too. This Afro-fusion live music experience is not to be missed this winter. Music is a great tool for bridging and sharing culture, so we are thrilled to be working with Beijing's best to showcase a new African narrative through engaging beats, song, and dance. All are welcome to join the party and explore why this eclectic mix of sounds is so popular throughout the continent and the world.

MEET Maliya Black Pearl of China 

Sierra Leonean superstar and Small Small Chinese entrepreneurial content creator will be performing her new single, "Look at me!". We are thrilled to have this special performance by K&S inspiration, sister, and friend. After spending over a decade in China she can share many stories and songs about her own unique Africa-China experience as a Philanthropist and as a Pioneer. She has performed for President Xi and now she'll perform for you! This will be part of a night filled with many highlights and surprises. Join us! 

This will be an Africa-China cultural exchange to remember and it also comes with the extra special dress code- "African Kingdom!" 

Our name Kente & Silk is directly connected with this majestic theme as Kente is the traditional cloth worn by the Royal household of the Ashanti Kingdom, and in our brand, it symbolises the wealth, rich tradition, and culture of the Ghanaian people and Africa by extension too. Think vibrant colours, African cloths, stylish tailoring, bold prints, and metallics - we encourage you all to bring your own personal style that depicts the richness and beauty of African culture in Beijing.
