Agora Space Christmas party, 11th edition is coming! More mulled wine, more DIY with a zero waste flavor, many nerds, many kids, more partners, more chefs and special guests. Agora Family is growing every year, let's make the most awesome Christmas party together!
Over 11 years of Christmas parties at Agora space, we have made the occasion special by creating inclusive atmosphere welcoming coworkers, families, friends and kids to connect with each other into one big family. We are planning to cook our food together, a way to slow down and genuinely spend a pleasant time with each other.
Enjoy a radiant Christmas afternoon with a circle of like-minded people who also believe in reduced consumption and increased sharing.
Secret Santa is a gift exchange, you bring a secret gift, wrap it, put it under the tree and later Santa will run a lucky draw to distribute the gifts.
But, please don’t go to taobao or shop to buy anything! Tidy your home and find out something you don’t need anymore: a book, a toy, clothes, any object that you don’t really use anymore. They are going to find a new owner and a second life.
Optionally, if you have, any recyclable/reusable materials that can be used for beautiful DIY wrapping: newspaper, craft paper, natural materials, scrap fabric, twine, hemp, jewelry...bring it along.
We will watch a Christmas movie in the afternoon
About the film: Charles Dickens, the great Victorian-era novelist, wrote A Christmas Carol in 1843, during a period when the British were exploring and re-evaluating past Christmas traditions, including carols and newer customs such as Christmas trees. Dickens had written three Christmas stories prior to the novella, and was inspired following a visit to the Field Lane Ragged School, one of several establishments for London's street children.
A Christmas Carol recounts the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. After their visits, Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man. The story shows Scrooge as a paradigm for self-interest, and the possible repercussions of ignoring the poor, especially children in poverty—personified by the allegorical figures of Want and Ignorance.
A Christmas Carol turned into one of Charles Dicken's most successful works, reprinted 13 times within only the first year of its release. Translated into many languages already during the 19th century, it was in 1901 for the first time adapted for film and subsequently a popular story for the screen. Director Robert Zemeckis, known for Castaway and Forrest Gump, was the last who got his hands on the plot to turn it into a Disney animated film in 2009.

Most companies spend 1-3 months looking for a senior/mid-level developer and another month to get them on board. Given the highly competitive tech industry having the highest turnover rate, only 20% of developers stay in the same company for more than 3 years… That's where CoderBunker comes into play. We partner up with brands and businesses to help them build their digital products. Pay by the hour | Have the full control.
