Review of previous event: 

Topic for this week is 'My favourite Movie'. In the first 30-minute period, each participant introduced themselves by telling names, working industry, hobbies andetc. With the brief introduction, we had met the officer from China Maritime Safety Administration; and a project manager working in petroleum industry, and etc. We held this event to provide a platform for every English lover to communicate with each other freely as well as to broaden each others mind.

Back to the theme of this week, everyone shared their thoughs about movies. Here are some active discusssions from yesterday:

Q: What movie genres are there?

A: Swordsmen film, detective film, adventure film, romance film, documentary, horror movie, action movie, ganster movie, science fiction film, musical film, suspense film and etc.

Q: Do you prefer watching movies at home or at the movie theatre?

A: It depends on the movie genre. For those movies which are produced expensively or with lot of special effect, it's better to watch it in a theatre; however, for an ordinary feature film, it will be kind of wasting money to buy a ticket to watch in a theatre. Moreover, for those movies are pretty brain-burning, it's better to watch it at home since it will be easy to turn it back if there was a part you don't really understand.

Q: Have you ever seen a movie for more than once?

A: I have watched 'Life of Pi' for several times. Every time I see it, I have a diferent understanding of this movie.It makes me think deeply of which story Pi told is true.

Q: What do you think of people talk during movies at the movie theatre?

A: I think it's very disturbing and impolite. They are selfish and not considering others' feeling.
